My insurance career began in 1985 working for a direct writer. Left them in 1987 and have worked for two different independent insurance agencies, before starting Shepard Insurance Agency in 1998. I have over 20 years of experience in all lines of insurance and currently specialize in commercial insurance to the business community. This agency is dedicated to exceptional service standards to our clients. I am a graduate of Texas A&M University with a degree in Marketing.

 P. Scott Hubacek, Friend to the Agency and Consultant
This is the 36th year of my career in the Property/Casualty insurance business. Past educational achievements include graduate of the University of Iowa school of Business Administration; Instructor for Dale Carnegie seminars, national faculty teacher and advisor to the National Alliance for Professional Insurance Development, Accredited Advisor in Insurance, Certified Insurance Counselor, Associate in Information Technology, Associate in Personal Insurance, Associate in Commercial Underwriting Practices; and Associate in Information Services. I am currently employed by the Independent Insurance Agents of Texas Association as a Member Services Ambassador and occasionally assist the Shepard Insurance Agency on technical issues. |

My name is Judith Flores. I began my insurance career in 1992. Since then I have enjoyed the challenges and experiences that come with the insurance industry. The utmost gratification in this line of work is being able to provide good, professional service to our customers. I am Betty Mendez and I live in Roma, Texas. I am 35 years old and work as a Personal Lines Account Manager for the Shepard Insurance Agency in McAllen, Texas. I have worked in the insurance industry since 1994 after attending Texas State Technical College. I am bilingual and enjoy the many daily challenges of the insurance business. I try to emphasize both communications skills and insurance product knowledge so that our customers understand their property and casualty insurance coverages and are completely satisfied with our services. |

Hello, my name is Barbara Delgado. I am 26 years olf and am the newest addition to the Shepard Insurance Agency. I am originally from Monterrey, Mexico and moved to McAllen when I was 6, graduated High School here and moved to California, then back to San Antonio, Texas and finally back to McAllen. I began working here March 2009' and have learned a great deal about the insurance industry in the short time that I have been here. I enjoy servicing our clients and pride myself in great customer service. I can truly say that all of us here at the Shepard Insurance Agency are like family.  Warner Wicks, Senior Property & Casualty Licensed Agent
I was born and raised in Mission, Texas. I am 77 years old and the senior member of the Shepard Insurance Agency staff. I am a graduate of Edinburg High School and Baylor University. I received a Bachelors Degree in Business Management from Baylor in 1952. I served in the U.S. Navy in 1946 and 1947. Former business experience includes management positions with Thompson Brothers Farms, E.B.Darby Company and Pancho's Mexican Buffet Restaurants. I am licensed as a General Lines Agent for Property & Casuslty Insurance, Life, Health, Accident & HMO Insurance. I have also received the nationally recognized CISR designation.

My name is Patty Castillo. I recently joined the exciting staff of the Shepard Insurance Agency. I was originally born in Louisiana, but I was raised in McAllen, Texas. I attended UTPA in 2001 and majored in Early Childhood Education. I have worked in the insurance business for four years. I enjoy working with all of our clients. I believe that customer satisfaction is the key to a successful agency. I am here to assist all of our clients so that they are satisfied with all of our services. |

Hello, I'm Mike McLarty. My insurance career began in 2000' as a property/casualty, and agricultural producer at an agricultural coop agency. My employer changed in 2002' to a sister company, Shepard Insurance Agency. In 2005' I relocated my office to the Shepard Agency in McAllen, Texas. Texas A&M is my Alma Mater, with a degree in Plant and Soil Science. I have lived in the Rio Grande Valley since 1983 with my wife, Diane and two children, Morgan and Courtney. The Rio Grande Valley is my home and I am dedicated to making it a better place to live and work. |

Hello, My name is Leslie Tovar and I just recently joined the Shepard Insurance Agency. I am originally from Starr County, but have settled down in the Edinburg/Mcallen area. I started my insurance career as a Life/Health agent in 1992. Later on I got my license in Property/Casualty as a General Lines Agent and have since focused on Commercial Lines accounts. I enjoy helping customer with their insurance needs and giving them excellent customer service. This helps us establish a long term relationship with our customers. I was born and grew up in Brownsville and moved to the upper valley in 1977. I started working in the insurance business in 1975. I hold a General Agents License in property/casualty. My insurance career began with Personal Lines and in 1985 I started handling the Commercial Casualty. In 1978 I graduated from Pan American University with a degree in Office Administration. Over the years I have taken several insurance related classes. I am a people person and I enjoy helping other people with their insurance needs.
